The Story starts with the adventures of 4 main characters - Gon, Killua, Kurapica and Leorio. And each and everyone of them have their own different reasons to get the Hunter license for their needs. During the Hunter Exam, after facing and going through all the tough obstacles together, they eventually became best friends. After the Hunter Exam, they separated from each other for a short period of time each to fulfill their own dreams. In the later part of the story, they met up again, and together, the four of them took part in an exciting series of adventures.   

Hunter x Hunter first started as a weekly manga series published by <Shonen Jump Weekly> magazine in 1998. Yoshihiro Togashi who was famous for his previous work Yu Yu Hakusho, is the one who created Hunter x Hunter later. There are 14 manga volumes published so far until now, and the anime TV series was broadcast on mid October 1999 to March 2001 by Fuji Television. Not long after, the Hunter x Hunter OVA (Original Video Anime) was also released and there were 8 OVA episodes altogether.
